You’ve all heard the wonderful news that there will be a Series 5 of the beloved TV show, Last Tango in Halifax. Filming of the 4 new episodes has now completed and the show is set to air in 2020. How did Nicola feel about returning to the show?
I certainly never dreamt that I’d be back on Tango, that was a really lovely turn of events. We’ve all loved being back together. I just relished every scene I got with Sarah and Annie and Derek. It really made me smile on my first day when I changed into Gillian’s Converse trainers … the same pair from Series 1, episode 1. It was glorious to get back into wellies and overalls after months of lawyer high-fashion on The Split. And wellies are a damn sight easier to wear on an eleven hour filming day than high-heels. I got to drive my tractor and my Land Rover again and I even got to vaccinate my beautiful sheep again.
