Nicola went to the Press Night viewing of “Song from Far Away” at the Young Vic.
“Song from Far Away” is a new play by Simon Stephens who also adapted The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time for the stage. Nicola won an Olivier Award (her first) for her portrayal of Judy, Christopher’s mother in that play.
Nicola is shown in these pics with Josh Bolt, who plays her son Rafe in Last Tango in Halifax.

“Song from Far Away” is directed by Ivo van Hove, who also directed A View from the Bridge which was staged at the Young Vic in 2014 and transferred to the West End in 2015. This highly acclaimed production will transfer to Broadway in November 2015 (with Nicola and most of the original cast) for a limited season. This will be Nicola’s Broadway debut.
