Finborough Theatre
This play is based on the obsession of a football fan with Neville Southall, specifically, the goal which was put past him in the 1985 FA cup. The play was written and directed by David Farr and staged at the Finborough Theatre in December 1992. The Finborough is a small theatre (seating for 50 maximum) in Earl’s Court which is known for showcasing new writing, i.e. plays from up and coming writers. This play was revised in 1998 and staged in the West End as “Elton John’s Glasses”. In this later version, the play was a comedy about a fanatical Watford City football supporter who blames the team’s defeat on the glare from Elton John’s glasses. More information about Elton John’s Glasses can be found in this Independent article. “Elton John’s Glasses” won the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain Best Regional Play of 1997.
Will Keen and Rachel Weisz were the lead actor and lead actress in this play. We have not been able to find anything about the role which Nicola took in this play.

David Farr, the writer of this play, also wrote multiple episodes of Spooks [TV] – 406, 504, 604, 607, 706, 804 and 902. Nicola has appeared in all of these episodes except for the Series 6 and 7 episodes.
Rachel Weisz has not yet worked with Nicola. However, she was in the 2010 London production of “A Streetcar Named Desire” (playing Blanche Dubois). Barnaby Kay (who is married to Nicola) was also a cast member in that production and played Mitch, a would-be suitor of Blanche.
